Scholarship recipients

Application deadlines

Applications open January 13, 2025 and will be accepted through March 20, 2025. Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on March 20, 2025 to be considered.

Application process

1. Review the eligibility requirements.

2. Gather electronic copies of all relevant documents. These include:

  • A résumé summarizing past and present employment as well as your academic track record. In addition, please include: extracurricular activities, including sports; honors, awards, or recognition; membership in any academic, professional, or social groups; leadership roles; and volunteer work. Please be specific in describing your roles and accomplishments.
  • A bio. Please review our preferred format.
  • An essay (750 words or less) that addresses:
    • The area of business you expect to study and your reason for choosing this field;
    • How your business education fits your life/career goals;
    • How your goals align with Financial Women of San Francisco, including how you can help FWSF achieve its goals, and how you hope FWSF can help you achieve yours;
    • Why you deserve this scholarship.
  • A complete unofficial transcript from your current school.
  • Complete unofficial transcripts from any prior college or university (if applicable).
  • A current photo. Note: We will use this photo to announce you as a scholarship winner on the FWSF website if you are selected. We suggest a ‘professional’ headshot or similar approximation.
  • Two letters of recommendation. Please note the following:
    • These letters must be uploaded no later than March 20, 2025, 11:59 pm.
    • If your reference intends to upload their letter directly, you will need to submit your application first. (Please be sure to do this in advance of the deadline to give your references enough time to upload their letters.) 

3. APPLY

  • You will be prompted to upload the required supporting documents as you go.
  • All documents will need to be provided in electronic format.
  • Your application cannot be completed without providing the required supporting documents.
  • You do not need to complete your application in one sitting; you can save your application and return to it as necessary.
