Cheese & Wine Pairing 101
For one delightful and enchanted evening, calories and cholesterol were forgotten as 22 FWSF members and friends indulged in the world of cheese and wine pairings at the Cheese School of San Francisco. One by one, the group straggled in from the bustle and grittiness of the Mission to the School’s private beer garden, stepping into an unexpectedly verdant and tranquil courtyard strung with twinkling lights. Instantaneously, we were able to let the dust of the day wash away, and the NV Scharffenberger Brut Excellence, with which we were greeted on this unusually warm evening, took away any lingering woes.

On Sunday April 3, the FWSF's Mentorship Committee hosted a special docent-led tour of the Oscar de la Renta Retrospective at the de Young Museum to close out the mentoring year. At the Sold Out event, 20 of the FWSF mentees, mentors, and members networked while admiring Oscar de la Renta’s designs, which celebrated the best in women—beauty, optimism, and confidence.

At the beginning of 2016, FWSF launched the Book Club as the first Interest Group. The Interest Groups were created to give members an opportunity to meet and form deeper relationships with women in the FWSF community. The organization is already made up of many professionals that care about seeing more women succeed in the finance industry, but there are a lot of other hobbies within the FWSF. There are women in the group that love the arts, the outdoors, cooking, or volunteering. Through the Interest Groups, FWSF hopes to bring these people together and allow them to share their experiences and interests with each other.
