Impact Investing: Aligning Investments with Purpose

Industry Leadership Series

The financial services industry is at the beginning of a transformational change in the way investors allocate their capital and in how companies create and measure value. In the U.S., socially responsible investing has grown more than 76 percent in the past three years, according to a study by the U.S. Sustainable Investing Forum. Furthermore, more than 80% of the S&P 500 companies now create corporate social responsibility reports.

Anna Snider, Head of Global Equity and Impact Investing Due Diligence, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, will discuss the current trends in Impact Investing – driven by companies understanding the importance of social and environmentally aware practices and investors increasingly aligning their investment portfolios with their personal beliefs. She will discuss how Impact Investing has significantly evolved as an investment and risk management approach and now may allow investors to reflect environmental, social and governance considerations into their investment portfolios without having to give up return.
