Once again this year, FWSF members are invited to tour the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco following a private catered luncheon and presentation by special guest speaker, Summer Cole, Director of Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Summer's topic is "Insights into Supervising Large Banks." She will discuss the enhanced regulations of the banking industry including stress testing, model risk management, governance and financial performance.

Following the private lunch there is an optional 90 minute tour of the Federal Reserve including the famed world-class currency exhibit with fellow FWSF members. Marty Tunnel, longtime FWSF member, has graciously volunteered to lead the tour again. Space is limited for the tour and it fills up fast so please sign up early. Those who did not take the tour in 2013 will be given first priority. A valid drivers’ license or passport is required for entry into the Federal Reserve Bank.

Speaker Bio

Summer Cole

Summer Cole serves as a Director for the Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this role, she has oversight responsibility for financial performance, capital, model risk management and governance.

Prior to joining the FRBSF, Summer served as Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in the Financial Institution Supervision Group managing cross-firm analytics teams. Summer has held Federal Reserve System leadership positions in the past, including lead roles in the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review and Supervisory Capital Assessment Program.

Before joining the Federal Reserve System in 2004 as an intern, Summer started her career at Deutsche Bank as part of the management development program, which includes rotations in both New York and Southest Asia.  Summer holds a B.A. in economics from Columbia University and a M.A. from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. She is a CFA charter holder and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certificate holder.
