Developing Your Authentic Leadership Story

Industry Leadership Series

Share Your StoryPlease join the Financial Women of San Francisco and Wells Fargo Women's Team Member Network to learn the art of leadership presence and storytelling in business. This workshop, led by instructors and coaches from the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute, will enable you to build your authentic leadership presence by developing the content and delivery of a compelling leadership story — who you are, your beliefs and values, and your professionaland personal aspirations for the future.

Leaders must be able to inspire trust in others, they should be willing to reveal who they are and what they truly believe in. Through their leadership stories, they are able to share their life experiences, illustrate their beliefs and values, and inspire the people around them. A compelling story provides narratives, clear images, and emotions. It helps us relate, understand, and connect with one another in a way that facts and numbers alone cannot.

Leadership presence is the skillset that enables a person to motivate, inspire, and connect to the thoughts and feelings of others. It is not only for leaders, but for EVERYONE. In our interactions with people at work and at home, we take on different roles in different situations. When you are able to communicate as your authentic self, and engage in a way that connects with others, and align your intentions with others' perceptions, then you know you are bringing forth your authentic leadership presence.
