Anti-CorruptionA seasoned panel of experts will discuss regulatory trends in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and global anti-corruption enforcement and practical challenges to developing anti-bribery and anti-fraud programs. Strategies for creating effective compliance programs and related internal controls will be addressed. The growing career roles for professional ethics and integrity executives and certified fraud examiners to support these areas will also be examined.

Bios of Speakers

Amy Curran

Amy CurranAmy Curran is currently the Head of Professional Ethics and Market Integrity Compliance at Bank of the West.  She began her career as a lawyer at Goldman Sachs supporting the institutional asset management business and over 14 years she held various positions in Compliance, including the Chief Compliance Officer for Private Wealth Management in the United States. Amy has a broad legal and regulatory background and has worked in-house since 1998.  Amy lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.  

Donald S. Davidson

Donald DavidsonDonald S. Davidson is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig LLP.  His practice focuses on representing broker-dealers, investment advisers and investment companies. He represents clients in litigation and in regulatory inquiries involving the SEC, FINRA and its predecessors, the Department of Justice, state securities regulators, and foreign securities regulators. These matters include municipal finance, market timing, insider trading, revenue sharing, and issues arising under the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, various state blue-sky statutes, and SRO rules. He also advises on compliance and risk management issues. Before entering private practice, Don served as Deputy General Counsel at UBS Financial Services Inc., as well as serving as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey. Don received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, and his B.A., magna cum laude, State University of New York.   

Desi Ivanova

Desi is a Senior Manager at EY’s forensic investigations practice where she specializes in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), anti-corruption and anti-bribery compliance services, foreign bribery investigations, and fraud prevention and detection. Desi has more than 10 years of experience leading many investigations, risk assessments, compliance assessments, audits and due diligence reviews for clients from different industries, including pharmaceutical and medical device, retail and consumer goods, manufacturing, financial services and aerospace and defense. In addition to foreign bribery cases, Desi has led and executed a number of traditional forensic accounting assignments, including investigating allegations of accounting fraud and conflict of interest.
