FWSF’s 2017 Social Media Campaign — Featuring You!

Go Social: Share, Engage and Help FWSF Grow

With social media growing exponentially (think 1.7 billion active accounts), FWSF wants to be a bigger part of the conversation! A key marketing/communications initiative for 2017 is to increase FWSF’s social media presence. It’s another way for FWSF to help facilitate meaningful engagement among our members. We can network and share knowledge, connect with potential members and showcase the benefits of membership by actively engaging on FWSF’s social media platforms.

Social Media IconsStarting in April, we are working with our communications/PR team at Harden Partners to feature individual members on the FWSF Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn pages. We will also be promoting and covering our many fabulous events throughout the year. We are inviting participation from you, our members, to accomplish these goals—and at the same time build your own social media profile and connections with members.

Kicking off the program on Facebook and Twitter, we will feature a member each week using the hashtag #MeetAMemberMonday. On Thursdays the same member’s top career tip will be shared with follows using the hashtag #CareerTipThursday.

Where can you start? Here’s how:

  • Like our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter and join our LinkedIn group.
  • LinkedIn group is now “OPEN” which means you should join and encourage  prospective members to join as well
  • Like, share and comment on our posts.
  • Tag us in your Facebook and Twitter posts by using our handles.
    • Facebook: @FinancialWomenSF
    • Twitter: @FinanceWomenSF
  • Fill out this short questionnaire to be featured in the “meet a member” posts!

Highlighting each member will help everyone get to know who else is part of FWSF. Perhaps one of your colleagues is a member and you have no idea, or you learn about someone who works for a company or is in a position you would like to learn more about. Now you know who to look for at the next event. This visibility will also help FWSF attract more new members as this will help candidates get to know who’s involved in FWSF and the connections and resources available to them.

In addition, we will feature past scholarship winners in regular posts twice monthly. Their personal stories, and how the scholarship and being a member has helped them in their journey to obtain a career in financial services will be shared with followers every other Friday using the hashtag #FWSFScholarshipRecipient. By sharing these stories FWSF can help encourage others to apply for a scholarship or donate to the scholarship endowment.

To encourage others to like the FWSF Facebook page, follow us on Twitter or join the LinkedIn group, tag FWSF in your posts using the handles above or by sharing FWSF’s posts with your followers. Post from your personal accounts while at an event or shortly after, if you’re doing things with other members.

We hope you’ll enjoy getting even more connected and learning more about the women who are part of this wonderful organization.
