Active vs. PassiveEver since the first index fund was launched in 1976, the active management versus passive management debate has persisted, as passive solutions have continued to attract more investors. In recent years, given the challenging environment for active managers, this debate has only intensified. Join us for a lively debate on active vs. passive investing from our two panelists – Holly Framsted, Smart Beta Senior Strategist, Blackrock who will represent the passive side and Hallie Marshall, Client Portfolio Manager, Dodge & Cox who will represent the active side. These women have extensive experience in their respective investment disciplines and will share their views, particularly in light of the 2018 market landscape. They also will candidly discuss their journey as successful women in the asset management industry
