Partnering with FWSF:  Harden’s Team Builds Social Engagement and Visibility

By Anne Evers, FWSF VP MarCom

Have you noticed FWSF is becoming more social? Over the last nine months as we’ve watched FWSF’s Facebook and LinkedIn posts, as well as tweets, we’ve seen that members really like learning about members!  Engagement is growing—especially when we feature our own members in addition to promoting our terrific events.

Profiles of scholarship winners on Facebook and LinkedIn were shared widely beyond our own members to reach colleagues, friends and family of the 12 winners.  If you haven’t seen it, check out Kim Scala’s video interview on diversity and inclusion within FWSF for Pride month—another very popular post. Pat HardenFor the last several years, Harden Communications Partners, the PR and financial communications agency headed by FWSF member Patricia Harden, has partnered with FWSF to provide communications services.  In 2017, with Harden’s guidance, FWSF turned its focus to building and developing its social media channels. Since that time, the volume of likes, comments, and engagement has steadily increased. We’ve streamed Facebook Live from the International Women’s Day event with Carrie Schwab and an interview with our President Kathleen Nielsen at the Scholarship luncheon.

There are plenty of ways for you to get more involved with FWSF’s social channels. If you haven’t been profiled yet on Facebook, please fill out the “Submittable” form and you’ll be featured in one of the “Meet a member-Monday” posts on Facebook.  It’s a great way to meet more members virtually, even when you can’t make an event.

Earn FREE admission to future events by providing a writeup and photos for our newsletter. Please contact Mickele Sade-Nowden or Susan Mazzetti if you are interested in volunteering.
