Cheese & Wine Pairing 101

For one delightful and enchanted evening, calories and cholesterol were forgotten as 22 FWSF members and friends indulged in the world of cheese and wine pairings at the Cheese School of San Francisco. One by one, the group straggled in from the bustle and grittiness of the Mission to the School’s private beer garden, stepping into an unexpectedly verdant and tranquil courtyard strung with twinkling lights. Instantaneously, we were able to let the dust of the day wash away, and the NV Scharffenberger Brut Excellence, with which we were greeted on this unusually warm evening, took away any lingering woes.

Art, Wine and Women Event

It’s hard to imagine a more perfect evening. We started with a guided tour of FLUX, an exhibit at the Bedford Gallery imagined and constructed specifically for the gallery. Using scale and bold colors Crystal Wagner transforms everyday materials to create a surreal environment. We then enjoyed a short walk through downtown Walnut Creek to the We Olive and Wine Bar.

Member Profile: Roberta Rima

Roberta Rima, Forensic & Compliance Manager, with major expertise in anti-corruption regulations. Currently building a new life and professional path in San Francisco, after relocating from Europe in May 2016!. Favorite part of her job: I love the challenge of uncovering things! Working in Forensic Accounting means using analytical and accounting skills to resolve disputes and allegations of misconducts. I have done this job for over nine years and every time I never know what to expect from each case, at the beginning. Additionally, when I work on corruption and bribery allegations I have the feeling that my work is serving our community to become better, and that is certainly one of my favorite parts.
