FWSF Holiday Party 2015

The elegant room at the Metropolitan Club was warm and inviting, with white table cloths of enticing auction items, the glimmer of beautiful jewelry and many smiling faces. This year’s FWSF Holiday party was a great success with a few new additions: Our annual auction to raise money for the Scholarship Endowment included a silent auction this year. The bigger auction items were bid on live and were hosted by a new and very enthusiastic auctioneer and his helpful wife.

Increased Media Coverage for FWSF

The Financial Women of San Francisco (FWSF), a professional organization of almost 400 executive and managerial women in finance and financial services, announced the new board president, Darcy Illg, for 2016. Illg served as vice president of the Financial Women of San Francisco in 2015.

Honoring the 20th Annual Financial Woman of the Year

The 2015 FWSF Financial Woman of the Year luncheon, held on September 30 at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, was a great success and a sold-out event. The energy of over 700 attendees made the support for advancing women in finance palpable.

On 17 September 2015 two of our scholarship recipients, Ruoyi (Roi) Fang and Ami Thomas met with industry leaders in their respective fields. Ruoyi (Roi) met with Heather Sibley, San Francisco based audit Partner at Ernst & Young and Ami met with Mike Ashton, Portfolio Manager, and head of Pacific View Asset Management LLC’s U.S. Growth Equity team and also Roger Lee, Research Analyst, and member of Pacific View’s U.S. Growth Equity team.
