Erin McCuneErin McCune, (Moderator), Expert Partner, Bain & Company

Erin is a partner at Bain & Co in the financial services practice with over 25 years of consulting experience in fintech and payments. She specializes in corporate strategy and investor due diligence, focusing on business payments, cross-border transactions, and the intersection of corporate finance, banking, and enterprise software. Her interests include embedded finance, API-enabled A2A, faster payments, digital IDs, and payment-enabling eGov services. She also explores the dynamics between large companies and SMEs, as well as the implications of stablecoins and instant payment interoperability for supply chain and cross-border payments. Before Bain, she was a partner at Glenbrook, a boutique payment consulting firm. She was on the FWSF board for 8 years and is a past president. 

 

Lisa Shields Lisa Shields, Founder and CEO, FISPAN

Lisa Shields, founder and CEO at FISPAN, founded the company in 2016 after listening to the pain points that businesses experienced utilizing bank services. As a visionary CEO with an engineering background, Lisa guides FISPAN with a focus on attracting the right talent and building great products. Since founding, Lisa has led FISPAN to become the market leader in ERP banking. FISPAN transmits billions of dollars in monthly payment volumes and powers the most innovative accounts payable, account receivable, and cash management services available today. FISPAN banking partners hold $8 trillion in assets and include 10 of the top 20 banks in North America. FISPAN is Lisa’s second fintech startup- she previously founded and led global payments company Hyperwallet, which was acquired by PayPal in 2018.

 

Marg RileyMarg Riley, SVP and Director of the Office of the Chief Payments Executive, Federal Reserve

As Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) Director of the Office of the Chief Payments Executive (CPE), Margaret (Marg) Riley is a senior advisor to the CPE and leads the team responsible for governance coordination and executive communications. 

Marg began her Fed career with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and has held leadership responsibilities for financial institution supervision and, most recently, in the Federal Reserve System’s national cash services.

 

Rachel PikeRachel Pike, Chief Operating Officer, Modern Treasury

Rachel Pike is the Chief Operating Officer at Modern Treasury, the leading payment operations platform built for the Instant Economy. Previously, Rachel was Senior Director of Growth at Grand Rounds and AngelList. Prior, Rachel was a venture capitalist at DFJ and led investments in a series of companies including Zapier. Rachel holds a PhD in Chemistry from Cambridge University and is a graduate of Northwestern University. When not working, she enjoys yoga, spending time with her family on the beaches outside San Francisco, and river rafting. Rachel is known to celebrate company milestones by ordering way too many bagels.

 

Kalyani IyerKalyani Iyer, Head of Partnerships, Sardine AI

Kalyani Iyer is an experienced financial services professional, having worked in both product and GTM roles at some of the fastest growing tech-forward payments companies, such as Adyen, Square and Stripe. Currently, Kalyani leads Partnership efforts at Sardine AI, a behavior based fraud and compliance platform serving enterprise merchants and financial institutions. Outside of fintech infrastructure, Kalyani is passionate about financial access and inclusion and spent her early career in China, India and West & East Africa in the Microfinance space learning what it means to solve money movement challenges from the ground up and through a global lens.

 

Veronica FernandezVeronica Fernandez, SVP and Regional Head of North America Commercial Solutions, Visa

Veronica Fernandez is Senior Vice President and Regional Head of North America Commercial Solutions at Visa, leading business strategy and go-to-market efforts in the U.S. and Canada. Since joining Visa in 2007, she has held leadership roles across Commercial Solutions, North America Merchant, and Prepaid. Prior to Visa, she worked in product management and business development at U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems. She is passionate about advancing underrepresented groups in tech and serves on the boards of NextUp and Latinas in Tech Bay Area. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she now lives in the Bay Area with her husband and daughter.
