The FWSF has been working with the non-profit Rock the Street Wall Street that is dedicated to increasing the participation of women in financial careers and targets high school girls. FWSF members have been volunteering at Gateway High School in the fall for four sessions and this spring for three sessions.
For the fall session, which was focused on financial literacy, there was a field trip to the BTIG offices, hosted by FWSF member, Sandra Camacho!
The spring session is a mentorship session focused on helping the high schoolers, who are primarily juniors, think about what careers they may want, how it fits with their capabilities and paths to achieve those careers. The materials used are from Rock the Street Wall Street, who has secured the high school arrangement. The FWSF volunteers for this spring session are:
Lucy Carrico
Anne Chambers
Karen Crowley
Megan Li
Khirstine Lumban
Karen Parajillo
Kim Scala
