Wealth Advisor at Conquis Financial
Please share a little about yourself:
As a wealth advisor, I'm passionate about helping women gain confidence and a stronger voice in their financial lives. The world of finance can often feel intimidating, and my goal is to break down those barriers and teach women the language of money in a way that feels empowering, not overwhelming. I am deeply committed to bringing more women into the financial services industry, creating a more inclusive and representative field for future generations.
On a personal note, my world revolves around my two young children. They're my greatest teachers, constantly reminding me to find joy in the present moment. I'm also incredibly proud to be a resident of Berkeley. I love being part of this vibrant, diverse community and exploring everything it has to offer. My life is a balance of building financial futures for my clients and creating a loving, joyful home for my family.
What inspired you to join FWSF?
As a wealth advisor, I’m often the minority in a room; only about 25% of wealth advisors are women. I was inspired to join FWSF to connect with other like-minded women who are not only succeeding in a male-dominated field but are also passionate about breaking down barriers for the next generation. This organization represents a powerful opportunity to find mentors, build community, and collaborate with women who share my vision of a more inclusive financial industry.
What’s your favorite part of FWSF?
The networking events I've attended have been fantastic. They feel less like formal functions and more like a chance to connect with inspiring women who are passionate about their work and their community. I love the opportunity to share experiences, learn from others, and build real relationships with women who are truly making an impact in the world of finance. I'm excited to continue getting to know more members and be a part of this vibrant, supportive community.
What’s your best career tip for women working in finance or financial services?
Embrace your unique voice and feminine energy. The industry has a reputation for being stuffy, male-dominated, and full of sports analogies, but you don't have to fit that mold. In fact, your unique perspective is your greatest asset. Don't be afraid to take up space and challenge the status quo. By being your authentic self, you create a more comfortable and inviting environment for your clients and colleagues, especially for other women.
