Nicole Amy, CPA is a Finance & Accounting Recruiter at BVOH, a women-owned consulting and executive search firm based in San Francisco. After 7+ years in accounting, Nicole decided to switch to a more people-focused role in recruiting where she could utilize her soft skills and help others navigate their careers. She enjoys building connections with professionals in the Bay Area and working with them to find their next perfect role!

 

 

Beverly BianBeverly Bian, Business Development Executive, Moss Adams

As a Business Development Executive at Moss Adams, Beverly Bian helps CFOs and business owners meet their financial, tax, and regulatory responsibilities by leveraging the firm’s CPA resources. Beverly also has extensive experience guiding multinational companies with investment decisions, lending and capital raises. She is skilled in connecting people across multiple industries.

Beverly has been recognized on the San Francisco Business Times’ Most Influential Women (2020). She is the San Francisco Chapter Chair of Women on Boards and a Rice University Alumni Association Executive Committee Board member (Term: 2022 to 2025).

Beverly received her MBA in finance from Rice University, her MA in professional communications from Purdue University, and her BA in English from Peking University.

Jessica BrownJessica Brown, Director of Finance, Workday

Jessica Brown has over 15 years of finance experience spanning multiple industries, supporting strategic planning, financial discipline, and project management. She has a proven track record of establishing strong cross-functional partnerships, managing global teams, and providing strategic support to key leaders in the organization. Currently she is a Director of Finance at Workday, supporting the team delivering products aimed at accelerating the CFO’s digital transformation. Prior to her role at Workday, she spent over 10 years at Autodesk across a variety of finance roles within FP&A where she led the adoption of cloud software KPIs & reporting. A passion for leading & mentoring, she has continued to involve herself in recruiting & training events throughout her career. Jessica started her career as an intern in public accounting after receiving her BS in Accounting from Santa Clara University (Go Broncos!). When not at work she spends time with her husband & two young children.

Angela CartwrightAngela Cartwright, Senior Manager, VISA

Angela Cartwright joined Visa in 2018 as a Senior Recruiter and now lead recruiting for the Finance and Corporate Services organizations as a Sr Manager. Prior to Visa, she worked at both start-ups and public/private small/large companies recruiting for tech and non-tech positions and at agency recruiting firms recruiting finance and accounting professionals. She also used to practice as a CPA and worked in the Big 4. She currently resides in Walnut Creek, CA, east of San Francisco, with her husband of many years and two daughters. She has been involved in her community by leading and contributing to the school PTA and National Charity League.  And in her minimal spare time, she likes to read, use her Peloton, be crafty, travel and cook.

Teresa Chen is the Vice President of Tax at Workday, Inc., a leading enterprise SaaS solution for finance, HR, planning and spend management, overseeing the global corporate income and indirect tax functions. Teresa has over 25 years of corporate tax experience in both public accounting and industry. Prior to joining Workday 9+ years ago, Teresa was with Polycom, Synopsys and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Teresa earned a Master of Tax from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Sarah CumminsSarah Cummins, Assistant Vice President, Robert Half Management Resources

Sarah Cummins is an Assistant Vice President at Robert Half Management Resources. She is a human capital management and financial statement reporting expert with over 10 years of experience. In her current role, she manages the contracting practice at Robert Half and supports initiatives in accounting, finance, business performance, analytics, risk and compliance, public company transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and more.

Prior to joining Robert Half Management Resources, Sarah was a member of the C Corp tax services group at BDO and PwC, specializing in tax compliance and ASC 740. She made the switch to Robert Half to combine her passion for helping people in their careers while leveraging her skillset.

She joined FWSF in 2017 and became a member of the Program’s committee from 2020 to the present.

 

Carolyn SweeneyCarolyn Sweeney, Managing Director, Century Group

Carolyn Sweeney is the Managing Director of Century Group's Walnut Creek, California office. During the course of her career, she's filled thousands of direct hire searches and temporary assignments for leading Bay Area companies and is known for her deep network, professionalism and for building award-winning teams.

Prior to joining Century Group, Carolyn spent 17 years with an international NYSE traded staffing firm where she won multiple awards for exceptional performance and leadership.

She has been recognized as Partner of the Year by the FPA of the East Bay for her contributions to the business community and is presently the acting President for the Accounting and Finance Women's Alliance, where she's served on the board and has been an active member for more than 10 years. Carolyn also enjoys being involved with her children's school and her Saint Mary’s College alumni community.
