We are kicking off the first event of the series on May 22nd with a golf swing instruction hour at the beautiful Presidio golf course driving range in San Francisco.
This event gives you the opportunity to test the waters, get tips on swinging the club and see if this game is for you.
Learning to golf can provide women in finance with significant professional and personal benefits, boost confidence, discipline, and leadership skills. Golf is a popular setting for business deals and relationship-building, and women miss out on opportunities all the time by not participating. The relaxed atmosphere of the course allows for casual conversations and the development of trust with potential clients and partners. Even more importantly, Golf fosters patience, critical thinking, and the ability to deal with failure, disappointment when the ball doesn’t go the right way!
The goal of the FWSF golf series is to develop a network of woman golfers and bring them together several times a quarter to golf casually. We rarely keep score and help each other out with learning the etiquettes and flow of the game. We are focusing on 9-hole courses in San Francisco for now but hope to expand that into the greater Bay Area and 18 hole courses eventually.
If you would like to learn more about the series, please join us on May 22 or August 14th at Presidio Golf Course Driving Range. We are also planning three 9-hole golf days for those who know how to golf already on June 12th, Oct 2nd and Nov 6tt and either Harding Park/Fleming golf course or Golden Gate golf course.
