Congratulations to Our 2024 Scholarship Winners!
On Thursday, June 6th, FWSF hosted the 2024 Scholarship Awards Celebration. Guests gathered at Wharton San Francisco to meet and congratulate the Financial Women of San Francisco’s 2024 scholarship recipients.
This year's celebration was held in the late afternoon and included a short program followed by a reception to toast our winners. There was lots of time to network, socialize and get acquainted with FWSF's scholarship recipients, corporate sponsors, and members. Our scholarship program showcased FWSF's mission to lead, mentor and inspire the next generation of female leaders. Guests were inspired as they listened to these future leaders tell their stories – and proceeds went to supporting the FWSF Scholarship Program and the advancement of women!
Since the scholarship program began more than 37 years ago, FWSF has awarded over $3.0 million to more than 350 deserving women. This year FWSF awarded 10 scholarships (five undergraduate scholarships and five graduate scholarships). In addition to the scholarship itself, each winner is paired with a mentor and receives an FWSF membership.
The ceremony began with FWSF President, Sue English Mazzetti, welcoming those who attended the event. Next, the 10 scholarship recipients spoke briefly about their personal journeys, accomplishments, and goals. These women have already demonstrated great leadership value and a desire to advance the careers of women in finance. We look forward to how they will advance the future of finance!
