Please share a little about yourself and your business and social passions.
Hello! My name is Han Lee, and I am an auditor at Grant Thornton LLP in San Francisco. I live in the East Bay area and am a proud mother of two wonderful children. With over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, I provide exceptional service to CFOs, controllers, and executives in private equity and asset management.
I began my career in Dallas and have also worked in New York and Boston before settling in the Bay Area. Throughout my career, I have closely collaborated with finance leaders to enhance my industry expertise. I strive to exceed the standard expectations of an audit leader by effectively managing both public and private reporting requirements while building strong relationships with clients and teams. My curiosity drives my professional growth and contributes to the development of my team, my firm, and our clients.
What inspired you to join FWSF?
I genuinely enjoy forging new relationships and finding innovative ways to connect my existing network with these exciting new bonds!
What’s your favorite part of FWSF?
I've met women leaders at FWSF who genuinely care, share their experiences, and seek to mentor others.
What’s your best career tip or advice for women entering the finance or financial services industries?
Never hesitate to knock on doors; you never know what opportunities a single relationship might bring. I was born in South Korea and am the first generation in my family to pursue a career in the financial services industry. I have a passion for learning about others, and throughout this journey, I have gained valuable insights and built relationships that have opened up growth opportunities I never imagined. I remain curious and open to learning, allowing myself to be guided while also leading with my unique perspective. I take pride in bringing a sense of "difference" to any group I am part of. I’m not afraid to ask for help when I need it, and that’s perfectly okay!
