On Tuesday, May 7th, at the Grant Thornton office in San Francisco, over 50 women gathered to hear words of wisdom from esteemed female role models in the Bay Area. This exciting event attracted many non-members who were interested in learning more about leadership and development from FWSF. The FWSF Programs Chair, Sue Mazzetti, provided a wonderful overview of our organization to these visitors — many of whom had never before attended a FWSF event!

On March 7, at the FWSF International Women’s Day conference, participants broke into smaller groups to attend three of five roundtable discussions. These roundtables, led by well-known subject matter experts, focused on pressing topics facing women in finance today.

Panel Discussion: Overcoming Obstacles and Sharing Success Stories

After the roundtable wrap-up, the concluding part of the program was an inspirational panel on Overcoming Obstacles and Sharing Success Stories. Moderated by Sheila Lewis, CEO of Ashton212, the panelists included Evelyn Dilsaver, an independent board director for multiple companies; Marc Doss, Regional Investment Officer, Wells Fargo Private Bank; Dr. Elizabeth Hillman, President of Mills College; and Nicole Sanchez, Founder & Managing Partner, Vaya Consulting.
