Calling all Foodies and “Drinkies”

On Tuesday, April 4, FWSF held its first quarterly networking happy hour of 2017. In recent years, we went regularly to the Meridien. This year, we will be taking advantage of being in one of the most foodie and "drinkie" (I just coined that term) cities in the U.S. We will go to different bars in the city. So that people have an easy time getting there, we will try to find locations in the Financial District and around Market Street. This quarter we went to Palomino in SOMA. FWSF hosted the first four bottles of wine and some appetizers. (Sorry to those of you who left the early and didn't get these). The second quarterly networking happy hour was held June 13th at John Colins, 138 Minna Street. A fun evening was had by all.

Brand Savvy: Equator Coffee & Teas

As a part of the Financial Women of San Francisco’s Industry Leadership Series, a speaker event titled “The Evolution of a Brand and How to Stay Relevant “was held June 21, 2017, at First Republic Bank in San Francisco. Helen Russell, co-founder and CEO of Equator Coffees & Teas in Marin County was the keynote speaker.

FWSF was honored to host three successful role models who discussed their careers and leadership experiences at our Professional Development event on April 25th. Jennifer Webster (SVP Financial Planning & Analysis at McKesson), Laura Martinez (Partner, PwC Assurance) and Mary Rosai (SVP Investor Services Client Experience, Charles Schwab) shared best practices, personal stories and insights on how to build a successful career path.

East Bay Networking Coffee

FWSF East Bay has been hosting a series of networking coffees throughout year. These highly informal, free events provide a fantastic opportunity to get to know other FWSF members, discuss work experiences and explore mutual business opportunities. Each attendee has the opportunity to introduce herself to the group, as well as share her thoughts on a topic of discussion.

Buon Vino, meaning “good Wine”, is modeled after the wine shops in Italy – taste, bottle, cork and buy. This was the setting for an evening of collaboration, networking, philanthropy and FUN for 30 attendees at the FWSF East Bay “How to Navigate a Wine List and Tasting Tips from the Experts” event.
