Amidst a backdrop of designer clothing at the Westfield Center in San Francisco, the Financial Women of San Francisco, hosted by Bloomingdale’s, celebrated its 60th anniversary in style with a fashion show highlighting the changes in fashion in the 60 years since the FWSF’s creation. More than 100 FWSF members and friends gathered for the spectacular event to enjoy food, wine, networking, a fashion show and live auction.

A group of two dozen FWSF members gathered at the new and greatly expanded SF Museum of Modern Art on cool Thursday evening in late September. We were met by our personal guide for a tour of the Fisher Collection. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Fisher Collection and told us many ‘inside’ stories about the artists and their relationships with the Fishers.

Financial Women of San Francisco (FWSF) last week awarded their first Make a Difference Challenge Grant to Vineetha Mummadi, one of the 11 2016 Scholarship Recipients, due to her passion for improving the lives of women through education. The grant was announced at the FWSF’s 21st annual Financial Woman of the Year luncheon honoring Debbie Messemer, on Wednesday, September 21st, and will continue annually through 2020.

This one of the two main signature events of the FWSF is a highly anticipated event because it truly epitomizes the very essence of the organization. The second event will be held on 21 September 2016 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco where the FWSF’s 21st Annual Financial Woman of the Year, Debbie Messemer, Managing Partner for KPMG’s Bay Area market, will be honored.

One by one, the group straggled in from the bustle and grittiness of the Mission to the School’s private beer garden, stepping into an unexpectedly verdant and tranquil courtyard strung with twinkling lights. Instantaneously, we were able to let the dust of the day wash away, and the NV Scharffenberger Brut Excellence, with which we were greeted on this unusually warm evening, took away any lingering woes.

Using scale and bold colors Crystal Wagner transforms everyday materials to create a surreal environment. We then enjoyed a short walk through downtown Walnut Creek to the We Olive and Wine Bar.

Currently building a new life and professional path in San Francisco, after relocating from Europe in May 2016!. Favorite part of her job: I love the challenge of uncovering things! Working in Forensic Accounting means using analytical and accounting skills to resolve disputes and allegations of misconducts. I have done this job for over nine years and every time I never know what to expect from each case, at the beginning. Additionally, when I work on corruption and bribery allegations I have the feeling that my work is serving our community to become better, and that is certainly one of my favorite parts.
